October brings profound shifts, both in the world and within ourselves.

The Moon’s Secrets: Reclaiming Our Power through Shadow Work
The Moon holds symbolic power over our hidden aspects, especially through its relationship with Black Moon Lilith. It represents the emotional and subconscious realms, which anchor parts of ourselves that we may not want to face —our fears, traumas, and unresolved karmic patterns.
Gregg Braden remind us that within these dark, repressed parts of ourselves lie the greatest opportunities for transformation. When we dive into these shadows, we find the “diamonds”—the gifts and lessons that are hidden beneath the surface.
This is why October’s energetic storm is not just something to endure, but a time for profound inner growth. By integrating these shadow aspects, we reclaim lost parts of ourselves, heal old karmic emotional scars, and step more fully into our personal power.

My message to you: navigate the upcoming astrological and cosmic shifts with awareness, embracing both the chaos and the opportunities for personal and spiritual evolution. The energy is dynamic and YES, there will be difficulties, but there’s also immense potential for transformation.

Relaxation Practice for October’s Energies: Qigong for Calming and Balancing the Nervous System
During October's intense energetic shifts, it’s crucial to center ourselves and bring our nervous system into balance. Qigong, a gentle, meditative movement practice, can help harmonize the body’s energy, reduce stress, and restore inner calm. Here's a simple Qigong exercise focused on supporting the organs that need extra assistance during this period—specifically the lungs and kidneys, which are often linked to emotions like fear, grief, and anxiety.

Qigong for the Lungs and Kidneys: Calming and Grounding Exercise
1. Find Your Space: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. Rest your hands by your sides, and take a few deep breaths, feeling the connection between your feet and the ground. Let go of any tension in your body as you exhale.
2. Centering Breath: Close your eyes, breathe in slowly through your nose, expanding your lungs fully, and imagine you are drawing in pure, cleansing energy.
As you exhale, release any built-up stress or tension.
*Repeat this breathing pattern for 3-5 deep breaths, focusing on relaxation.
3. Qigong Movement for the Lungs (Clearing the Energy Pathways):
Raise your arms slowly in front of you, palms facing the sky as if you are scooping energy from the Earth. As you reach chest height, turn your palms downward, and gently push them down as you exhale, imagining you are pressing away negative or stagnant energy.
Repeat this movement 9 times, focusing on breathing deeply into the lungs. With each breath, feel any grief or anxiety dissolve as you release it through the downward motion.
4. Qigong for the Kidneys (Strengthening and Grounding):
Place your hands on your lower back, where the kidneys are located. Inhale deeply, drawing in energy to nourish and strengthen your kidneys.
As you exhale, gently massage the area with slow, circular movements, visualizing warmth and healing flowing into this vital organ.
Repeat for 1-2 minutes, feeling the kidneys become stronger and more balanced, grounding your energy into the Earth.
5. Complete the Practice: Bring your hands to the centre of your chest, palms together, and take a few deep breaths. Feel the harmony between your breath and body, acknowledging how this simple practice has calmed your mind and grounded your energy. Finish with a moment of gratitude for yourself and the healing process.

The lungs, connected to the Metal element in Traditional Chinese Medicine, often carry emotions of grief and sadness. Qigong for the lungs helps release these emotions, allowing for clearer breathing and emotional processing. The kidneys, linked to the Water element, are connected to fear and survival instincts.
